The Dog Walk

What a great September day, warm, breezy, and out walking the dogs.  The Humane Society of Genesee County held its yearly dog walk fund raiser on the Campus of Mott Community College.  There were many other activities available to anyone that wanted to come and participate.  The day started with a dog challenge known as Re-call.  The dog is a field length away from the owner, and is timed how fast he can get to the owner and sit when he/she is called.  Shannon Holder’s  dog Murphy a Beagle/Cavalier King Charles won the recall event.   David Tucker, Director of the Humane Society and Cheddar demonstrated an amazing feat of dog obedience and team work as they showed how well they worked together.  The walk also hosted a number of vendors that gave away information or product about pets.  I hope you enjoy the slide show.
